Trouts, roasted, floured or fried are excellent, as well as very tasty eels, cooked with hot tomato sauce. You can also find here dishes, made of sea basses, gilthead breams, grey mullet, seafood. Bottarga (caviar of grey mullet) is also to be mentioned, even if it's not of Gairo's production, which is used to prepare various dressings and condiments for the local typical dishes and not only. Everything is accompanied with famous wines of Ogliastra's vineyard, that offers different kinds of them: dry and sweet, white, red and rose'.
